Elizabethtown

Dear readers,

I was looking through my favorite photographer's blog and came across this entry.

“So you failed. Alright you really failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You failed. You think I care about that? I do understand. You wanna be really great? Then have the courage to fail big and stick around. Make them wonder why you’re still smiling.” -Claire, Elizabethtown

Failing is uncomfortable, embarrassing, painful… the list could go on. The easy thing is to quit. Give up. Walk away. It takes courage to keep going, keep working, keep smiling. If you study successful people (Walt Disney, Steve Jobs) you’ll notice that all of them failed in the beginning. Not only did they fail, they failed BIG.

It’s comforting to know that we will all fail. Making mistakes is part of the learning process. J.K Rowling said, “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might has well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default.”

You’re going to fail. Learn from it, don’t failure define you.

Love,
Megan
